Wall Folding Table Brands on Amazon: Tangkula, HOMCOM, Neoaider, TEAMIX, Wallmaster and More

Most wall-mounted folding tables on Amazon come from online home brands such as Tangkula, HOMCOM, Neoaider and TEAMIX, which sell through the listing alone. Only four brands in our comparison publish their own product page with size, load and mounting data: COSTWAY, VIVO, Mount-It! and Lifetime. That is the line we draw between a recommendation and an alternative.

The short version

If you want maker data behind the purchase, choose COSTWAY for a drop-leaf dining table, VIVO for a garage workbench, Mount-It! for a long, light top or Lifetime for a premium work table with legs. Tangkula and HOMCOM sell popular cabinet desks, Neoaider and TEAMIX compact tops, Wallmaster brackets and benches – but for those we could read only the Amazon listing.

What's on this page

How we sort the brands

A brand page could list every logo on Amazon. That would not help you choose. What matters for a table that hangs on your wall is whether the brand tells you its load figure together with the wall and fasteners it assumes. So we split the brands into two groups:

  • Brands with a maker page we could read: COSTWAY, VIVO, Mount-It! and Lifetime. Their tables can be our pick on a page.
  • Brands with seller data only: Tangkula, HOMCOM, Neoaider, TEAMIX, Wallmaster, Need, MM MELISEN, Furinno and several unbranded listings. They appear as alternatives, marked “Seller data only”.

The rules behind this split are on the page how we research. No Consumer Reports, Wirecutter or Good Housekeeping test of wall-mounted folding tables was found, so no brand here is a test result.

COSTWAY

COSTWAY's timeline starts in 2011 with indoor furniture; today the company sells furniture, outdoor, appliance, sports, wellness, baby and pet products and names nine warehouses in the US. Its wall table in our data is the 31.5 x 23.5 inch drop-leaf, 3.0 inches deep when folded and rated 66 lb maximum by Costway – without naming a wall. Costway's instructions use six anchors and warn only that each anchor must sit securely in the wall, so on drywall you plan studs yourself.

COSTWAY Drop-Leaf 31.5 x 23.5

A drop-leaf top deep enough for two place settings that folds to 3 inches against the wall.

Why here: The only brand in our data with a maker page for a drop-leaf top deep enough for two – our pick for kitchens and small dining spots.

Best for: Small kitchens and studios where two people eat or work at the wall

  • 23.5 in deep when open – room for two plates facing each other
  • Folded size 31.5 x 21 x 3.0 in according to Costway
  • Two ways to fold: drop one leaf or both
  • Maker states a 66 lb maximum load
  • Costway does not say which wall or fasteners the 66 lb rating assumes
  • The supplied expansion screws are generic – plan your own fasteners for studs or masonry
  • MDF top: wipe spills, do not leave it wet

VIVO

VIVO says it started as an online business in 2002 and now builds ergonomic office products; it is headquartered in the US. Its 43 x 18 inch folding workbench is the only bracket table in our data whose maker names the walls: wood stud, brick or concrete, with 110 lb capacity and a 3-year warranty according to VIVO. More on garage use is in the garage workbench guide.

Mount-It!

Mount-It! describes itself as a maker of mounting and workstation hardware for more than fifteen years, with engineering in San Diego, and gives a lifetime warranty on structural components. Its MI-7993 drop-down table is 45 x 15 inches (or 30 x 15) – and Mount-It!'s own page states only 33 lb, less than some retailers print for the same model. Plan with the lower figure.

Lifetime

Lifetime Products was founded in 1986 and calls itself a US manufacturer; its range includes folding tables, basketball systems, sheds and outdoor furniture. Its 80421 wall-mounted work table is a steel cabinet with pegboards whose top folds down onto legs. Lifetime designed it to fit 16-inch stud spacing; the Home Depot spec sheet lists 150 lb capacity. It is the premium option of our comparison.

Brands with seller data only

Tangkula. The brand says it has sold home and outdoor products since 2008 and has warehouses in several countries. On Amazon it sells three wall desks in our data: the convertible cabinet desk, a plain 31.5-inch laptop desk and a desk sold as a “Murphy table”. We could not match them to spec sheets on tangkula.com. The search “tangkula foldable wall mounted desk” leads to the cabinet desk; our guide to wall-mounted folding desks compares it with the alternatives, and the Murphy table guide explains why a desk with a cabinet is not a Murphy table.

HOMCOM. HOMCOM sells a white convertible cabinet desk with shelves. The listing names model 836-296WT, made by Aosom LLC: 38.5 x 20 inches of desk, 7.7 inches deep closed and 110 lb on the desktop – all seller data, as we found no HOMCOM spec sheet.

Neoaider. Its 31.5 x 15.7 inch top arrives pre-assembled on steel brackets. The listing gives two load figures at once – 80 lb recommended and a 100 lb warning limit – and names six wall screws without saying they go into studs. It is a good example of why we print the lower figure.

TEAMIX. A budget-class black top that doubles as a floating desk. The listing gives 23.6 x 11.8 inches, up to 80 lb and names drywall among suitable walls – seller data; we still advise studs or a ledger board.

Wallmaster. Wallmaster sells 24-inch folding brackets and complete fold-down workbenches. We found no maker spec sheet; retail listings quote 500 lb for the brackets without saying per bracket or per pair. The folding shelf brackets guide puts those figures in context.

Warranty and spare parts

Only the maker pages tell you what is covered: VIVO states a 3-year warranty for its workbench, Mount-It! a lifetime warranty on structural components, and Costway a 30-day return window on its own shop. For the seller-only brands we found no warranty terms we could verify; Amazon's own return policy applies to the order. Keep the manual and the hardware bag, because replacement screws must match the bracket holes and your wall.

Whichever brand you choose, the table is only as strong as its fixing: screws into studs or a ledger board, never drywall alone. The comparison of the best wall-mounted folding tables has all models with stated load and mounting in one table, and IKEA's wall tables are covered separately under IKEA wall-mounted tables and Amazon alternatives. Questions people ask

What is the best brand for wall-mounted folding tables?

There is no independent test that ranks brands, so we judge by the data a brand publishes. In our comparison, COSTWAY, VIVO, Mount-It! and Lifetime are the brands with their own product pages stating size, load and, in VIVO's and Lifetime's case, the wall or stud spacing. Which of them fits depends on the job: dining, garage, a long light top or a premium bench with legs.

Is the Tangkula foldable wall-mounted desk any good?

We cannot say from maker data. Tangkula describes itself as a home and outdoor brand selling since 2008, but we could not match its wall desks to a spec sheet on its own site, so we know only what the Amazon listing says. Check the listing for top size, load figure and fasteners, and plan studs or a ledger board regardless.

Does Home Depot or Lowe's sell wall-mounted folding workbenches?

Home Depot carries the Lifetime 80421 wall-mounted work table; its spec sheet lists a 150 lb capacity, a 47 x 23.3 inch work surface and 95 lb unit weight. We have not compared the rest of the Home Depot or Lowe's assortment. Amazon offers the same Lifetime model plus the VIVO, Wallmaster and other fold-down benches.

Are VEVOR wall-mounted folding tables worth a look?

VEVOR is not part of our comparison, because we have no product in our data that we could check against a VEVOR spec sheet. If you consider one, apply the same test as for every brand: does the maker state the load together with the wall type and fasteners it assumes?
